About Us 

Patriot PRIDE represents our core values of Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Dependability, and Excellence. Our students do not just embody these values—they proudly showcase their Patriot PRIDE in the classroom and in our community. 

Fort Dorchester High School is a comprehensive high school located in North Charleston, SC, serving the easternmost communities of our district since our founding in 1992. Over the past 32 years, we have expanded to accommodate our growing community while continuing to offer a world-class educational experience that prepares each student for college and/or career success. As the third-largest high school in the district, we currently serve 2,348 students across grades 9-12. Located in a rapidly growing area of Dorchester County, our diverse school community includes students from new residential developments, as well as small, established neighborhoods, apartments, and mobile home communities. We proudly serve the town of North Charleston and the surrounding areas. 

We are so proud of our diverse school community that is a blend of long-time residents, transient citizens, and families from suburban and urban areas--all contributing to the unique fabric of our school.

We have consistently earned an "Excellent" school report card rating for the past four assessed years, and our core values of Patriot PRIDE continue to drive us toward success.
